So, my eldest daughter is getting married this September and her chosen theme is Jane Austen with a twist (several, actually). The dresses will be Regency era, as will the food. The "twist" comes from everything else. Her colors are lime green and peacock blue. She also wants masks, zebra print and peacock feathers. I am blogging my experience of trying to pull all of these aspects together in some cohesive, fun yet elegant manner. This is also my first blog. Welcome to the ride!

Oh, the Craziness...

At this point in time I am still playing around with the table centerpieces, adding flowers, "bling", etc. So far the bride likes what has been done. I have also almost completed the bridesmaids bouquets, all that remains is to add the zebra print ribbon around the handle for the mask. For the bouquets I just purchased white full-face masks from Hobby Lobby and added flowers, ribbons, pearl strands and some crystal accents. I have been quite pleased with the results.

My next task is to figure out the invitations for the wedding.
