One woman's journey to creating a rather skewed version of Jane Austen for her daughter's wedding.
So, my eldest daughter is getting married this September and her chosen theme is Jane Austen with a twist (several, actually). The dresses will be Regency era, as will the food. The "twist" comes from everything else. Her colors are lime green and peacock blue. She also wants masks, zebra print and peacock feathers. I am blogging my experience of trying to pull all of these aspects together in some cohesive, fun yet elegant manner. This is also my first blog. Welcome to the ride!

Reception Invites
I have the Open House invites complete. I did add a bit of "flare" to the top of the inside because it just seemed too dull. I haven't yet uploaded the picture of that. Yesterday, my family and I sat down at the kitchen table and we all worked together, all day, to complete the Reception invitations. Well, they are almost complete anyway...only one more thing to add, the RSVP cards. Arley has not seen them. I hope that she likes them. I ended up not using the embossed calla lillies (Oh, well!). And, foolish me, I neglected to take pictures of the process, so I will have to remember to go through that when I post the pictures, explaining what we did. Note to self: Take pictures of Arley's Reception invitations for here. I really need to get those complete so that I can send them out! I guess when I have these done, my next project will be working on the jacket for Tia's dress and then making Nora's bridesmaid dress.
